    What you meant to say is that studies show that throughout the “obsessive”
    stage of a new love, where you constantly find yourself thinking about the
    object of your affection, You might think about that person as constantly
    as someone with OCD thinks about their obsession. The way you put it can be
    interpreted in many ways. And one of the last things people with OCD want
    is for dumbasses to take the study out of context and further use it for
    their horrible romantically beautiful image of mental illnesses, or to
    further distort their definition of OCD, which makes actual OCD not seem so
    severe.

    And as someone who has severe OCD and has gotten super giddy about a new
    love interest, all I can say to someone like this is: No, bitch, the
    feelings are triggered by the same chemicals, but they’re not the same.
    Constantly thinking about a love interest feels warm and cuddly. The world
    is full of color and life, and you just want to dance and smile. Thinking
    about your OCD is horrendous. You feel trapped, powerless, and scared. The
    world seems bitter and hopeless, and there are legit times when you want to
    die instead of living the way you do.

    I am not surprised about the internet dating fact, it makes perfect sense
    to me. You filter your search down through thousands of people to maybe a
    hundred, then out of that hundred you pick out the ones who you might be
    interested in and then you date some of them. So if one of those people
    aren’t a match for you then good luck meeting your match out of the 3 drunk
    people sitting by the bar.
