People are too sensitive about videos like this. Maybe the girls they chose were the only ones in the office who’d never played it before? Maybe the guys just weren’t willing to try? Maybe they felt like just having the girls play? There’s a huge number of reasons why they chose to do the video this way. If you’re a girl who plays this already, good for you. This just gave these girls a new experience and it seemed that they enjoyed it. Weirdy Kins Confused. Why girls? Why not “Noobs play Dungeons and Dragons for the First Time?” How does the gamer girl that appears in your videos a lot feel about this? PRO Productions This is so sexist. I am a girl and am an avid player. What is wrong with you people. Why are you so stereotypical? beelzebubs0bum were they playing 4th edition or 3.5? I have mixed feelings about 4th edition, it is easier to pick up but there’s not alot of wiggle room with class and character designs. 3.5 is kinda micro-managy, but theres alot of shit you can pull off that you wouldn’t be able to, for example I was able to make a half-ogre hulking hurler kleptomaniac with weapon focus with chairs, I had a bag of holding that held about 30 to 50 chairs at a time and every time I entered the room I would swipe all the chairs. yeah I think he was probably the most random of the my chars…aside from the mindflayer bard who’s instrument was mayonnaise but I never got to use him in a campaign heat sann Women and girls are called b*tches wh*res sluts thots etc. But what are men called when sleeping with multiple women and cheating on their girlfriends? Immajeanyus You have to use too much imagination for a game like this which you paid for whereas I can use my imagination for free. David Bleecher Cute video. I would share it if it weren’t for the gendered title that you slapped on it. This is basically just new players playing D&D. But, since you made it gender political, I won’t share forward. Thanks, though. 2wingo Fun Fact: Gary Gygax, the man who invented D&D, was a devout Christian. LeBunny909 gaming channel You should do noobs play magic the gathering Minerva Blake I would love to play D&D, it’s just that I’m INSANELY socially awkward, so it’d be rather unlikely that I’d find a group to play with, plus it’s practically impossible for me sit still for a whole adventure… ♥Sunny-chan♥ if i had 3 cows and 5 chairs broke, whats the square root of this comment? John Paul Tesfae I’ve heard of the game and thought it might be to complex to follow, as they said. Hearing what these girls say about it tempts me to give it a go Meghan Morse My boyfriend plays this with his friends, but I’ve never seen them (or anyone else) play it before. I used to think it was stupid. Now, I *know* it’s stupid. Manu Ela As a woman, I would really like to play this game, but with other women. Because I once played it with some guys and I was the only woman and it was awful. They just kept telling me that I should know this and that I’m stupid when I don’t get this the first time blah blah blah… If you want a woman to play with you (anything actually), encourage her! Tell her she’s doing fine and that it’s no problem if she doesn’t understand something right away because you will help her. Otherwise, don’t be surprised if she refuses to play anything with you again. I say this because I think that a lot of guys don’t get this because their brains probably work differently… Guys seem to be even more into it if someone tells them they can’t do it, because they want to prove that they can. But please keep in mind, on most women this doesn’t work at all! Absent Answers The Dungeon Master must have a hard time setting this up, or just take a lot out of his day. I don’t know, I’ve never played D&D (although it looks really cool), so I have no experience other than watching Cry play it with his buds. razorknight92 This is so fake. Girls are genetically incapable of playing DnD! Science has proven that women’s fragile, delicate skin is easily irritated by the low-quality plastics used to make most dice, let alone a subtle difference in their wrists (and the way their boobs throw off the balance of their torsos) rendering them unable to roll the dice properly anyways! They always roll nat 1’s at the worst times, and that’s because of poor technique that they cannot fix because they’re girls. Plus they’re gross. :/ Though I will say that 5e (the edition they’re playing) is probably the best for introducing players to the world of roleplaying. It’s very stream-lined, and balanced better than a lot of other editions, and it’s just… a lot simpler. It’s so much simpler and the numbers are less bloated that it allows the players to worry less about the numbers, and more about the characters they’re playing. That’s a difficult thing to do! And 5e facilitates that, I think. NINJAASSASSINGAMERZ Is there a version of this online? Not Dungeons and Dragons Online (The MMO) but a version just like this board game? :D Nyx Kere First off, this video was completely pointless. The stereotype for D&D will never die, it’s always going to be just some fat nerdy guys in their mama’s basement. Anyone who plays this knows this stereotype to be false, so it doesn’t really matter then, does it? Secondly, you obviously didn’t play a real game of D&D. Did you make them roll for initiative to start off with? Did you make them roll attack against the enemy’s AC? If the attack hit, did you make them roll for damage? Did you tell them which class gets extra attack rolls? Did you tell the cleric that she could invoke her powers and gain extra inspiration? Did you tell them that the game does not always go according to plan, that DMs always have to be on their toes? I’m guessing no on all of these. D&D is not as easy as this video says it is, it can be very complicated when you first start out. When I first started out, I had no idea what I was even doing. It took me some time to get the hang of rolling a die for everything, then adding all of the dice up in order to actually do something. I already had a vivid imagination, but for those who don’t it’s even harder. You have to imagine the setting, the plot, the enemy, your character, your party, and any and every trap that could be in the room. I wish someone would for once take into consideration the time and effort you have to put into this game instead of just focus on “Oh I get to be a mage and shoot things with Magic Missile yay!” It’s fun, yes, but it’s also time consuming for those of us who DM especially. We have to think up a game plan, we have to think up a few stories that could go along with whatever different routes our players choose to take, and we have to be the most imaginative ones because we have to describe every detail to our players so they can get a grasp on what’s going on in the game. Sorry for the rant, but I absolutely hate it when people say this game is easy. It’s not. It’s fun as hell, but it’s not easy in the slightest. If you can’t stay committed to something for long, this game is most certainly not for you. But if you like long games with imagination, then this game is perfect. Just be careful of acid pits and GREEN FLAME!!! Shae Lee I’ve played D&D twice in my life, and I loved both times. The people I’ve played with were really funny so it was amazing. More people need to play D&D!! >U< (including me.) tsumaru So I’m a girl and I’ve been wanting to play D&D with someone for a while. Last year I discovered that my college friends (also female) were interested in playing D&D too, and I’ve been super excited to get a game going. We just gotta find a DM lolol Daniel Alvarez I actually thought dungeons and dragons was a fake game. Officalmikayla Lets see Americans play Hockey for the first time Evan Thompson-Cory Me and my dad’s friends play this every month together xD xeronik69 now have them play Pathfinder ;-) i love PF <3 my favorite dps dealer classes are Two-handed Fighter, Magus, and Invulnerable Rager (Barbarian). ^.^ especially if you meta a little bit, make half-elf or full elf Two-handed Fighter with an Elven Curve Blade, omg, the dps, THE DPS! you don't even have to min-max with that setup xD you could have 14 STR and just d-d-d-d-d-destroy! RainyRainbow8 Why exactly did they have to make it ‘girls’? Why couldn’t it simply have been ‘people play dungeons and dragons for the first time?’ There are guys who have never played.
