Lemme guess, they’re all L.A. hipsters with stereotypical views of the
midwest?
A’ight.
THEY SHOULD TRY PASTIES FROM DOBBER’S HERE IN UPPER MICHIGAN!
hold on. yall don’t have jimmy johns?
Americans trying American food….okay…..that’s like me saying I’m going
to eat food from Western Australia because it must be different on the
other side
I’m curious, how is the Midwest USA all the way over in Ohio? I’m sorry
but Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, S/N Dakota are part of the Midwest and the
Midwest only represents as far north/east as Minnesota, Iowa and as far
south as Missouri & Arkansas. Michigan and Wisconsin could be part of the
Midwest, but Illinois & Ohio are not part of the Midwest. They are part of
the Ohio Valley region which includes Kentucky and Tennessee.
Midwest style food is not meant for people who sit in an office. Its a
high calorie, filling, slow digesting food for people who work outside and
do manual labor. Athletes could eat this food and not have an issue. Its
people in the main cities who don’t exercise and play console/pc games all
the time; who should not eat this type of food regularly.
Wait. I thought Jimmy Johns is pretty much nation wide in the US. I guess
it’s because I’m in Illinois. There’s one right next to my dance studio.
I live in Wisconsin. And you can’t make beer cheese soup without at least a
little Shredded cheese on top. (At least that’s how I make it
I lost it when he said go home Wisconsin you’re drunk. I’m from Wisconsin
and that’s not even the worst beer cheese mix we got here. Plus you forgot
cheese curds. Fried cheese curds guys. Like heaven on earth.
I’m disappointed they didn’t have them try tenderloins. I’m from Indiana,
and that is one of our specialties and anyone I’ve met not from the Midwest
has never heard of them.
I am from St. Louis, and I have only had one thing from this video, which
is Jimmy Johns (loveeee it btw).
But I think that they should make another video with foods like gooey
butter cake, TOASTED RAVIOLIS (yumm), Imos Pizza for sure, and pork steaks
are amazing. All of these foods are St. Louis things by the way..
I’m from michigan and I have never heard of any of these (besides jimmy
johns but I thought that that was a sandwich place everywhere, it is a
chain restaurant after all)
At least they tried Portillo’s, they have really good burgers by the way.
CHICAAAAAAAGOOOOOO!!!!!!
I’m from Michigan and I’ve only had jimmy johns out of all of these. You
should’ve given them pasties
I love tatertot hot dish. I call it tatertot casserole. But the midwest has
the best food.
+BuzzFeedVideo If you’re gonna put a franchise on the list, why not put
something like Steak ‘n Shake? Steak ‘n Shake is pretty darned midwestern,
and has been around since 1934. I live south of Indianapolis. When my
grandfather’s relatives from Phoenix, AZ come to town, the very first place
they want to visit is Steak ‘n Shake, as they don’t have them out there.
Frisch’s Big Boy, as opposed to Bob’s Big Boy on the west coast, would have
been another good addition! Frisch’s tartar sauce covered Big Boy sandwich
vs. Bob’s original, with red relish and mayonnaise. Another midwestern
staple, and a favorite of mine, is the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich,
though I’m not sure how uncommon, or common, those are in other regions of
the United States. Cincinnati chili was a good addition, though it’s not
strictly served over spaghetti. Coney dogs are where it’s at! Still, pasta
in chili is a very midwestern thing!
Excuse me, but I believe that Kansas, North & South Dakota, Nebraska, and
Oklahoma (and some others) are also part of the MidWest! It’s kinda hurtful
hearing that we aren’t. If we aren’t the Midwest, then what are we? We
certainly aren’t the West Coast!
I don’t know, I live in Michigan and I’ve never heard of any of those foods
before
I live in chicago and I can guarantee you half of this is rarely seen..
wait jimmy johns is only midwestern
Thats not food thats CRAP I fell sorry for people who know nothing but
those type of dishes they haven’t even tasted real food yet. Nothing can be
compared to the middle eastern food its one of the main reasons that makes
me a proud middle eastern
You make this video and you don’t even go for Mackinac Island fudge or
Chicago Style pizza. Really?!?! Have Midwesterners even heard of these
foods, cuz I haven’t and I’m from Michigan!
This was a pretty weak video. Either the Midwest doesn’t have their own
cuisine or these guys couldn’t find it.
Midwest? We have Jimmy Johns in North Carolina.
