Nah, in the UK you’re likely to get stabbed by asking these sorts of questions lol NicholasGamez Ilive in russia and the nicest thing is when someone spits on ur shoes Mehmet Güney If you ask for help in Turkey 50 people try to help you at the same time. This is why I love my country. (sorry for very very bad english.) PrettyKitty Wright One time I was at my church and we were about to leave(everything was over, my mom was getting something.)and this girl who was a little younger then me asked if she could borrow my phone so I let her use it. She had to call her friend, or someone to let them know to pick her up. This was WAY back when I had a razor flip phone, lol. She didn’t ask for anything else and I believe that was the only time someone asked that of me. But I would do it again as long as I could watch the person using my phone. I do hold doors and help with small things here and there. I know there are some shitty people out there that try and use our natural sympathy to scam others, but sometimes you have to roll the dice and just help people. Holding doors, helping carry things, small, but kind things like that can really brighten and make someone’s day. It makes you feel good, and releases more positive energy into the world. Heaven knows we need more of that. Wisteria Lewis ermergerd … Faith in humanity is coming back , kinda heartwarming to see these guys being nice !! Btw like that blue haired chick said : HAN HAN HAN HAN HAN Steven Wheeler I live in Hodgenville, Kentucky, USA. Once I broke down and didn’t have a cellphone back then. I walked up to the nearest house and knocked on the door. No one answered but the light were on (it was dark out) and I could hear noise coming from inside. I turned the door knob slightly and the door was unlocked. I stepped in the house and was saying “hello, hello” I could hear a noise coming from down the hall. I followed it, a guy was in the shower. I asked him if he had a flash light. He said yes in the hall closet; I got the light and went out and was working on my car. Shortly he came out and asked if I could get it going or if I needed his phone. This is a small country town and people are pretty helpful. Jacinta Lamont A month ago, I was in a shopping centre and a teenager asked if he could call his mum from my phone. And I said yeah sure and low and behold he actually called his own phone that was in his pocket the whole time and it started to ring, and said ‘expect a text tonight babe’ EYEAMSHEEEE I would be suspicious if someone asked to borrow my phone…I mean, who knows phone numbers off the top of their head anymore? You give me a # and I’ll dial. I’d rather give ya money, not my $600 phone. kraftuber BuzzFeed should try this experiment on the declared Islamic caliphates of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria… Let’s see how peaceful the religion of Islam is, especially for westerners… ^_^ :) Madam Cloud It’s nice to know that some people are actually nice and are willing to help. It’s a refreshing feeling. Ari Aula Arikae I’m all for helping a stranger in distress. I totally understand the plight of those in need of help BUT I’d be on the fence about letting a stranger borrow my phone. I’ve heard many stories of people getting their phones stolen by strangers who asked to borrow them. And plus I have trust issues. Anywho… this video puts my faith back in humanity that there are genuinely kind souls out there who would help… and go beyond to help complete strangers! :) savannahrawr did anyone notice that almost everyone had starbucks??? HeyItsSofie5 50% Of people have Starbucks drinks….. Kara Hochberg I live in Detroit, Michigan… You’d get stabbed if you tried that… TwistedLeaf26 HELL NO would this happen in my city. It’s full of inbreds and chavs. I’m in the UK. Lark Da Dark Letting someone borrow your phone isn’t a big deal. Yanna Does this really showcase people’s morality? I would definitely hesitate to give some random stranger my phone, because I know that *some* people abuse your “kindness”. They deliberately make themselves look like if they are in a state where they need your help in order to get money from you or they would ask for your phone and then run away. I am NOT saying that everyone would do that and I am also NOT saying that everyone is a jerk like that (you can never generalize, after all). But because there are some evil people out there, you can never be sure, and I would definitely be reluctant to lend them my phone. Would that make me an immoral person? Of course not. It is truly sad that you cannot trust others too much… Nick Nitro Wheres all the british people in the comments to act like assholes and talk shit about America? Jking1276 The phone borrowing can be a scam. They can use it to dial a premium rate number or install a malicious app. If they ask to borrow your phone, tell them to go into a store and ask to use the store’s phone. DetectiveTective Absolutely not in my city. Not many people from Baltimore are nice like that. I try to be nice like this. But every time I do so, people ask me where I’m from because they know it doesn’t happen often in Baltimore. Funnelcake24 No one, absolutely NO ONE will help you in Minneapolis/Saint Paul. If you’re in north Minneapolis you’d get mugged, within 10 seconds. Or if you’re female you’d get raped, no matter who you ask. People in Minnesota are either extremely stuck up or extremely ghetto. analee miranda In Arizona people are kinda just like hey kid need help and im like nah man thanks .. sums it up Wade Ma As much as I love my homecity, no one gives a fking shit in Hong Kong :( linux750 helpful people like this can mostly be seen on university campuses, meaning COLLEGE STUDENTS are most likely to help someone in this situation since they end up in it themselves and live in a (somewhat wealthy) society where people tend not to steal anything (worth less that $500) from others. if you try this at a mall with a larger and more diverse group of people then you’ll see a change in people’s reactions. Most would probably be worried about someone running off with their expensive phone so they wouldn’t lend it to you. a good think to ask if you are stranded is *”do you know where I can find a payphone, or a dept. store/restaurant with a landline?”* That question would yield more helpful reactions from more people since they don’t have to worry about you running off with their phone. EVDE KSP Antwerp, Belgium ? Nononono they would ignore you, why would they help you?? just a stranger that needs help, NAH? welcome to Antwerp!!
