First i am going to show her so many b4 and after Photoshop pictures, Then im going to burn that 20 dollar piece of trash, that should have stayed a tree. Finally im going to burn some bratz dolls, and maybe some Honey Boo Boo merchandise. (That i will steal, because that disgusting family is not worth a penny of my money.) :) Sry i had to get that out of my system. lol Jeremiah Brand It’s not a bad thing that a lot if people want I be skinny/not fat/good looking. Look at what percent of Americans are obese! It’s ridiculous, and if pictures of hot women get them motivated than I say, by all means, go ahead. Americans need to stop being so fat. brodiencemember If 10 year olds feel like they need to change, that’s how you know our society is fucked up. Gabi Ramirez Everyone in the comments is talking about how “if it these photos promote health and fitness, then why not use photoshop pictures??” What people don’t understand it that they’re not just fixing weight, but skin (wrinkles, adding makeup, etc), limb length (lengthening arms and legs) and making completely unrealistic standards. What also needs to be understood is that people have different body types and cannot all look the same. My best friend and I both run cross country and are in pretty good shape because of it. She’s 5’1 and weighs 100 lbs and I’m 5’4 and weigh 129. I’m never going to look like her, no matter what I do, and she’s never going to look like me, no matter what she does, so it’s ridiculous to put it in the minds of people, especially kids, that they all have to look like the people in magazines, because that’s when eating disorders come into play. We should be inspiring people to be healthy, not to hurt themselves for image. I should’t have to feel like I need to starve myself to be as lean as my friend, and my friend shouldn’t feel like she needs to eat more to look like me. We should be encouraged to eat right and be healthy, and look good in our own body/skin, not someone else’s, or someone else’s photoshop edit. Homura Akemi I cannot believe the amount of people who think this is okay Alex A I’m ten and I think about being fat, or just people looking at me and thinking or talking about me behind my back! But then I realized that I am beautiful for who I am and I don’t care what other people think! oOMagnificentOo I’m 10 and I weigh like 76 – 84 pounds, I don’t give a crap about my weight… and that’s how you lose weight! :D HighOctivity “I BLAME SOCIETY! LET THEM BE FAT BLAH BLAH BLAH!” No. Society’s form of beauty is that if you look healthy, and look like you worked hard for your body. Then your hot. Its a good thing that the lazy people get treated as the ugly ones, otherwise there would be no motivation to exercise or be healthy, because who would care about that if you where beautiful either way. A guy works hard and exercises and eats right for a long period of time, applies skin creams and hair treatments, eats right and ingests pleanty of protein so they can be strong and protect there women and look good for them. The standard of beauty is you take care of your body, skin, and hair, and you will end up looking healthy and beautiful. If you sit around all die, dont apply any sort of moisturizer for your skin or hair, then you will look fat, unhealthy, probably will have bad hair and acne, and in return will be known as ugly.Working hard to lose weight or to get healthy skin and hair is not using a cream or and exercise video for a few weeks then quitting and going back to being lazy again. It takes years of dedication for many. Stop blaming your problems on society and own up to them. I realize I will have a bunch of ignorant fat people responding to this with “I CANT HELP IT!!!!JSOSNDNo” Yes you can, you make all the excuses you want and yes it might not seem fair that you have to actually work for what you want in your mind, or that you have to work harder due to your genetics, but I dealt with bad acne, weight issues, etc due to bad genes for years. But as soon as I got off my ass and decided to do something about instead of just hoping for a miracle or using creams and methods of exercise for a few weeks, I now have abs and a clear face and am happy with myself. I feel accomplished because now that I have actually worked on myself as a person, I’m considered beautiful by society. elay supreme 0:38 DAfuq is wrong with megans nails?!?! Lucky Sophia after I watched this i felt horrible Camille Agurto LOL HARRY STYLES PIMPLES AND BLACKHEADS!! Riiaa Horan Harry’s photo was taken with those pimples on. Someone had probably edited the pic making them disappear, but who cares though? all celebrities or anyone for that matter are beautiful. No one should ever need to edit their pics. Larry Summers Woman learn early that makeup does actually make you look better than you really are. Trying to get everyone to be real is more than just making laws about not photoshopping images. It would need to be a complete cultural change across the whole world. I doubt it will ever happen. In South Korea, plastic surgery is very common. This could happen to the whole world, where everyone can choose how they want to look when they become adults. The lure to do so would be intense. We are hardwired to associate certain traits as physical beauty, such as symmetrical face without blemish. In reality, the brain “Likes” that face because it is easy to process – there are no special cases in interpreting what the eye sees as a face. Twane Kellerman Here’s my opinion. If you are unhappy with what your body looks like, you don’t necessarily need to diet. Exercise can help just as much and is probably healthier than potentially eating too little and not getting enough nutrients. Lili Emery 1:12 is kind of a carp photoshop though… :) Zoe Angelina Jolie still looks very pretty Sophie Wong Hello person in youtube, I just want to say something, how do you society want us to love ourself if others don’t accept us? a lot of people in this coment section write things ”like everyone is beautiful in their own way” or things like that sadly is not true I see everyday fat girls at my school they are bullied and not accepted, only skinny ,fake and plastic girls have the hot guy or are popular, there are no fat girls in the popular groups, sometimes I feel bad too because I am not skinny and I don’t have a lot of ”body” even if I have the normal size for my body, but I don’t want to enter in eating disorders but anyways most people that have those eating disorders are teens you want to know why? because everyday they see this plastic, ”perfect girls” and they feel bad and jealous that has happen to me. We should teach in schools more about that,to make these girls to show their true self, to accept fat or skinny or normal people because of the way they are not only because of their beauty or money that is how we will stop all these prolems that are now considered as ”normal teens problems which they are not”. Thanks for reading this if you want share this comment. MisunderstoodAlpaca It’s funny how when you ask a group of women whether the models they use for advertisement should be more normal, they say yes. But Ladies, you’re the reason why bulimic models and excessive Photoshop are used. You buy products and support brands that promote that image. So don’t get all preachy about how clothing lines should use more plus size models when you vote with your dollars that they stay the same. The fact of the matter is that if they advertised clothing on normal looking women, most of you wouldn’t want to buy them because you’re subconsciously convinced that if you buy the product the skinny girl is wearing, you’ll look like that too. AppeasingPoet Listen, the video is not saying that it is ok to be fat. What it is saying is that photoshop has completely distorted realistic expectations of beauty that put incredible pressure on young girls and females in general to obsess over their appearance. They even photoshopped people that had nothing wrong with them! Like the Katie Perry pic, or the Kim Kardashian one, or everyone between 0:52 to 1:12. The fact is, even at your best, nobody has a flawless body, whether it be bad skin, like bruises, wrinkles, dark circles, or discoloration, disproportional parts, like cankles or a short neck, or lumps, like post-pregnancy tummies, hips that really stick out, different sized breasts, or flabby arms. I’m sick and tired of people calling Americans fat. I know there is an obesity epidemic here, but if you put the obese people aside, the average size in America is still bigger than the average size of women in magazines. Women’s bodies just naturally have a higher proportion of fat. It’s part of our genetic evolution since the babies grow in us. It’s easy for us to put on weight, and hard to get it off. Women’s looks also deteriorate faster than men. I don’t know why. If a any female wanted to look as good as the people in the mags, it would take a lot of time, money, and effort. Working out takes a lot of time and energy, something that working adults and busy mothers have very little of. Looking good also takes money, money for braces, the gym, teeth whitening, veneers, a proper hair cut and dye job and blow out, fancy clothes, expensive make up, organic and other healthy food. A model’s body, like a prostitute, is her tool, so she spends all her time and money taking care of it. Everyone else doesn’t have that luxury. Not to mention models already have genetics on their side. Notice that most of these photoshopped pictures are of entertainers, singers and actors (not models), who also don’t always have the luxury to take care of themself because they are too busy. So bottom line, stop picking on women for having body issues and saying stupid things like “just get off your lazy butt and exercise”, because as I’ve just explained, it’s not that simple. The standard of beauty in magazines etc. has beguiled people into thinking that this is the NORM when it is in fact NOT REAL. It is high time we stopped being afraid of what people really look like and started embracing more realistic depictions of women in magazines. I completely understand wanting to look your best, so angling a picture a certain way or retouching a pimple on your graduation picture or removing red eyes from your wedding portrait. But perfection is a lie and excessive photoshopping makes me sick and sad. Ashley Tran Wow seriously feel a lot better about myself. Seeing this video really clears my thoughts on “man, [insert celebrity here]’s face is so clear, they dont even have acne scars wonder how I can get clear skin like that”. I realize photoshopping is a thing but sometimes I forget about it and I take it at face value. We might oughta cut down on this harmful thing. It causes a lot of unrealistic standards. Heather Mantica a lot of the celebrities looked better without photoshop, also no boys were included. you don’t know how many of my guy friends spend hours trying to figure out ways to look like they are “supposed” to. the funny thing is both boys and girls spend so much time worrying about how they look, isn’t it stupid. if we all worried less then we’d have more time to enjoy each others company instead of hiding away in fear of rejection. i think there would also be less morbidly obese people, most heavy people become that way due to an eating disorder (yes those can also cause you to gain weight) caused by stress, they feel hopeless and maybe if they saw a world were people don’t give a shit how they naturally are, they wouldn’t feel so pressured. the most important thing for us to focus on is heath. heath doesn’t mean weight or shape, it is just about how you treat your body. focus on eating in moderation and doing normal daily activities in a more active way. after we are all heathy, size and shape doesn’t mean a thing. Vania Jiang I think there is NO absolute because everyone has a different natural boy set physique. You can lose weight of Course, and it’s not a bad thing, but some naturally fuller women actually look sick and unhealthy when they try to lose to much weight. Moderation is key. Nicole R photoshop in media should be illegal, point blank; there is no reason to make the youth of today think they are inadequate and have unrealistic ideas of what beautiful really is! we cannot keep developing a young generation with these common misconceptions Viper Clutch Katy Perry is still amazing nomatter what *_* Dawnai Carson Sigh! Little girls and their issues. I wonder what happened in my life that makes me complete unfazed by the idiotic things that plague my sex. Shut up and eat some cake and if your afraid it will go to your hips do some jumping jacks bitch.
